5-06-2012: Inauguration of Mass Cytometer Suite & Immunomonitoring Labs

On June 5, 2012 , at CEA Fontenay-aux-Roses, will be inaugurated the mass cytometer suite (CyTof) of their flow cytomety core facilities (FlowCytech). The Division of Immuno-Virology of the CEA, the University Paris-Sud and Bertin Pharma have joined their forces to implement this new technology, unique in Europe , enhancing the possibility for complex phenotyping of mammalian cells , and accelerating preclinical and clinical development of new pharmacological agents.

On this occasion, Bertin Pharma and the Division of Immuno-Virology unveil their new immunomonitoring core laboratories . Through a pooling of equipment and know-how, this platform offers innovative and unique solutions to public and private, national and international companies, involved in R & D of new pharmacological agents, particularly new immunotherapies . This inauguration will focus on scientific conferences followed by a tour of the premises and a demonstration of the mass cytometer and associated softwares .

16-02-2011: Ethic Committee set up
Bertin Pharma Ethic Committee is recognised by the French Goverment on February 2011...
 This process was initiated last year when Bertin Pharma signed up the national code of Ethics on animal experimentation. This 1st step regarding animal care during experimentation was concluded by the recognition by the French governement of an Ethic Committee within Bertin Pharma on February 2011.

The board is composed of 6 people from both Bertin Pharma and independant people:
  • On-site manager & President of the Ethics Committee : Claude Nivet
  • Animal house manager : Chantal Lorence
  • Scientific engineer : Paula Ferreira
  • Experimentator : Grégoire Joubert
  • Veterinary : Franck Proux
  • Independant people : Sylvie Barrot
  • 2 scientific personalities : Maguy Bromet, former Biotec Centre Manager & Fabrice Trovero, Key Obs Manager

Set up in 2005, the National Code of Ethics aims to mainly manage the Ethic process of French experimentators. The signatories of this code demonstrate the committment of both researchers and research companies towards animal consideration.

This committment pursues the philosophy of Bertin Pharma with the use of Culex® in accordance with the European Guidance 86/609/EEC which aims to improve animal welfare by reducing their number and pain during experimentation.


01-07-2010: Creation of Bertin Pharma

As of July 1st, 2010, Bertin Pharma is the new name under which SPI-Bio, Biotec Centre, Ellipse Pharmaceuticals and IDPS brings together their whole range of expertise and emphasises its affiliation to Bertin Technologies.
